3 Steps to Career Clarity

Blog images (2).png

You know the saying, Don’t jump to conclusions?

When it comes to innovation – whether that’s at work or in our lives – I like to say, Don’t jump to solutions.

And yet so often that’s exactly what we do.

We have a problem – and we just go straight into solving it.

If you joined me on IG Live last week, you know that what I recommend instead is diverging.

Divergence is a funny word for exploring. For being curious. For looking.

What happens when we diverge?

We learn more about ourselves.

We open up our options.

And we build trust in the decisions we ultimately make. Because they’re informed decisions.

Rather than decisions we make in haste when we feel pressured, or anxious, or totally burnt out.

I know it: being in the space of divergence is U-N-C-O-M-F-O-R-T-A-B-L-E.

It feels slow and clunky and ambiguous.

And yet – it’s so worth it.

That’s why I’m excited to share a new, free worksheet I’ve put together to help you diverge.

Diverge and explore and come out on the other side with clarity:

  • About who you are and the skills, talents and contributions you can bring to the world.

  • About the problem you’re trying to solve and why it matters.

  • About what comes next and the first step to get there.

Then, give it a try and let me know what you think.

Like using a map on a road trip, career clarity helps point us in the right direction.

Once we know that, it’s time to drive.

Onward,
