Hi, I’m Ashley Jablow – coach, artist, and creator of “100 Days of Designing My Life.”

In March of 2020, life as we knew it came to screeching halt. In a moment where almost nothing made sense, I chose to pick up my paintbrush.

What tumbled out of me was this project: 100 Days of Designing My Life.

Combining my expertise in design thinking and innovation, my formal training as a professional coach, and my unique ability to put visuals and metaphors to some of our deepest life questions, these 100 watercolors have become a touchstone for myself and everyone yearning to better understand themselves and navigate changes at work and in life.

Are you ready to dive in? Let’s do it – together!

Onward,

Excerpt from Volume 2: Equation for Change

What kind of life or career change are you feeling ready for? Maybe it's time for a new job. Maybe it's time to step into a more authentic version of You. No matter the topic, I'm betting there's some part of your life that you're ready to stretch, grow, or evolve.

While there's no magic pill for meaningful change, there is a simple equation - one that outlines the four elements you need to Define in order to create lasting change:

A. Your level of dissatisfaction with your current situation

B. The future state or vision you want to achieve

C. The steps you'll take to achieve that future state

D. The 'cost' of making the change.

As long as variables A, B, and C'outweigh' variable D, change will happen. It really can be that simple!

Today, think about a change you want to make in your life, and use these questions to explore how well-defined your four variables are. If you know them, great! If you're not as clear on your A, B, C or D, that's also great; it means you're getting clarity on the pieces keeping you stuck and what to do about it.

  • On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your level of dissatisfaction with your current situation (A)

  • How well defined is the future state you want to achieve (B)? Do you know what you're working towards?

  • How clear are the steps you need to take to achieve that future state you want to achieve (C)?

  • What will you have to give up or let go of to make this change? What obstacles will you have to overcome (D)

  • Reviewing your answers, what's becoming clearer to you about making this change?
