What's hard about telling your story? [Free coaching!]

Have you ever been thinking about buying a car, and you have a specific make, model and color in mind?

And have you ever noticed that the more you think about that car, the more you see examples of it on the road?

I call it the “Red Miata Effect.™” 🤩

Anyway, this has started happening to me lately – except not with cars. With life stories.

Over the last two months, multiple people have shared with me that they’re stuck.

Specifically, they’re stuck trying to answer an age-old question – a favorite at interviews and dinner parties alike:

“So, tell me about yourself.”

You know what I’m talking about.

What’s with this question? Why is it so popular?

And even worse: why is it so hard to answer?

Now, with the Red Miata Effect in mind, I’m left wondering: why am I hearing this question come up so much lately?

And why is it causing so many of us so much grief?

So this week, my request is simple:

if you’re struggling to answer this question right now – for a job interview or something else – comment below to let me know what’s hard about it.

As a thank you to everyone who comments, I’ll send you a link to redeem a free 15 minute coaching session with me to work on your own custom answer to that dreadful question.

Because here’s the thing: I know how to help you answer it.

Are you game?

Comment below and tell me: what’s hard about telling your own story? And what could make it easier?

I’m all ears.

Onward,
