About Kathy

Director of Marketing at a retirement community for the past 10 years. Freelance photographer and writer. Lives in North Carolina.

Stated Goal

To make a decision about whether to stick with her job or quit.

before working with Ashley

Felt burned out, anxious and couldn’t focus. Her hour-long commute was wearing on her. Was sporadically searching for other jobs but didn't have direction.

Her “ah-ha” moment

When Ashley led her through a visualization exercise and she saw the vision of herself that she wanted to be and how she wanted to live. “Looking back it’s like, gosh, if only I had done that years ago.”

Because of working with Ashley

She negotiated a raise and is working on a proposal for an updated role. Kathy also “recreated” her personal life to create more balance in her life overall. She successfully negotiated working from home two days each week so she could connect more with her community, spend time pursuing creative projects and help take care of her small farm. Ashley’s coaching also helped her complete a home office renovation that she loves.

In her words

“I seem to approach each day with more confidence, more acceptance of just what is, knowing what I can change and what I can't, and living overall with grace.”

“If you want to change your life, and live the life that you have been envisioning, Ashley's coaching will help you get to an honest version of it.”

Private coaching Client: Liz

From stressed out working in grant-making, to a dream career in nursing.

About Liz

Mother of two 7-year olds, lives in the San Francisco Bay Area

Stated Goal

To feel less stressed and to understand the source of it.

before working with Ashley

Was working in philanthropic organizations, guiding grant-making strategy.  Felt overwhelmed and “couldn’t untangle what was work stress, what was life stress, what was parenting stress.”

Her “ah-ha” moment

When she got a surprise promotion at work that included a new area of work, Ashley encouraged her to examine whether that was the change she was looking for. She realized that it was a distraction from what she really wanted.

Because of working with Ashley

Liz decided to make a leap and change careers. Now she’s finishing a degree in nursing and is aiming to be a labor and delivery nurse. She’s more hopeful and optimistic than ever.

In her words

“Before it felt hopeless. I thought I just needed to get my head down and get through it because everyone was dealing with it.

My life and the professional path I’m on is unrecognizable from where I was when I started talking to Ashley. If I hadn’t worked with Ashley, I wouldn’t have gotten here. I wouldn’t have picked apart what was wrong with my professional life and I wouldn’t have figured out that there was something so different that I wanted to do. It’s been a monumental change in my life but exactly what I want it to be.”

 Private Coaching Client: M.M.

From self-doubt and poor work boundaries, to confidence and a promotion.

About M.M.

Lives in Los Angeles, CA. Works for a film company in measurement and impact.

stated goal

To get out of a professional and self-confidence rut.

Before working with Ashley

M.M. was stuck in self doubt. She said “yes” to everything at work but wasn’t recognized or promoted. She felt inadequate and was constantly trying to prove herself. She tried learning more skills and delved into personal development books and podcasts. But she still felt stuck.

Her ah-ha moment

When in their first call, Ashley reframed the question M.M. kept asking herself— “What’s wrong with me?”

And Ashley said, “There’s nothing wrong with you. What do you want and what do you value?” A lightbulb went off for M.M. She said she came out of that call with hope and felt like there was finally a path forward.

Because of working with Ashley

She feels more confident, regularly speaks up and her colleagues have even commented on her new way of showing up. She now brings projects to completion. As a result, she’s been promoted to Director and has been finally recognized for her specialized skills.

In her words

“I’m now able to give concrete recommendations. I went from ‘Do they want to know what I think?’ to ‘This is what I think.’ ”

“Ashley helped me become comfortable with myself. I don’t have everything figured out, but I can help myself figure things out. I have the tools. She helped me believe in myself and find ways to trust myself. And to find joy.

Quite honestly, the idea of joy wasn’t present in my life before. Especially in work. It was ‘Did you do it right?’ ‘Did you advance or not?’  But now, I know there’s learning and growing. You can believe in yourself and be good, and you can still grow. Growing doesn’t mean there’s a deficit or something wrong with you.”
