WHAT WE’RE CURIOUS ABOUT: How might this entrepreneur’s story of grit and hustle inspire our own wayfinding?
WHAT WE’RE TRYING: Making friends.
THIS WEEK’S MANTRA: “The meaning of life is to find your gift, the purpose of life is to give it away.”

A couple of weeks I ago, I wrote about a provocation shared by a friend: What is it that ONLY you have to offer that serves the world? She asked me to think about it – and boy, did I.

Last week I had the opportunity to facilitate a workshop for a new audience on a very new topic (to me, at least). Truth be told, I was nervous and the stakes were high. After tons of prep work, the day of the workshop arrived and I had no other choice but to follow through with the plan I set. And the verdict? I loved it. Just like I love facilitating every workshop I lead. No matter how stressful, challenging, or ambiguous the charge, I love leading teams through exercises that will help them get clarity and create a plan of action.

Walking out of that workshop, I reflected on my friend’s provocation, and was finally able to see: this is something that only I can do. Sure, there are plenty of facilitators who lead workshops, and in fact many of them may be more skilled and experienced than I. But the magic that was created in that room, on that day? That was all mine.

Pablo Picasso said: “The meaning of life is to find your gift; the purpose of life is to give it away.” In that instant, I began to see what it is that only I can offer to the world. And this week’s Peak Experience activity is my way of supporting you to answer that question, too.

If wayfinding is about navigation, Peak Experiences are our compass for choosing and changing course. Where will your compass take you?

Onward,
