Weekends are a great time to clear space – literally and figuratively – and make room for new inspirations and insights to emerge. To spark your own exploration this weekend, here’s what we’ve enjoyed this week:

WHAT WE’RE READING: Shifting our understanding of our ability to learn and change - even as adults - through Mindset
WHAT WE’RE LISTENING TO: Sara Blakely of Spanx giving the word ‘hustle’ a new meaning
WHAT WE’RE PLAYING WITH: Finding small moments of inspiration to spark more creative thinking
WHAT WE’RE CURIOUS ABOUT: How to launch a business with $1000 and 90 days.
THIS WEEK’S MANTRA: “Long projects are like morale graveyards.”

This week’s mantra is taken from an interview with Jason Fried, founder of Basecamp. In it, he describes how no project should take more than six weeks from start to finish. This is for many reasons, but chief among them is the idea that when a project lasts longer than six weeks, you stop being able to see the original finish line. Nothing zaps morale like long running projects, he says. Plus, this time frame keeps us honest by forcing us to answer: what can we actually get done in 6 weeks?

Time’s been on my mind a lot lately – how some things move fast and we can lose our sense of time and ourselves in the process, and yet how other things seem to move slowly like molasses out of a jar.

While not six weeks like Jason Fried’s approach, this week we’re sharing our guide to a 60 Day Wayfinders Sprint - a way to approach any question, idea or new path you’re considering and break it into a short, focused piece of work – ultimately helping you discover, imagine and try out this new endeavor in a thoughtful way. Give it a try and let us know what you think.

Onward,
